Delete your RingSmith account

Last Updated: October 2026

RingSmith is the AI receptionist app from Hoycall LTD. This page explains how to delete your RingSmith account and its data, and what we keep afterwards. Our Privacy Policy has the full details: section 7 covers the app, under its earlier name, HoyCall Mini.

Delete your account in the app

  • Open RingSmith and go to Settings → Account.
  • Tap Delete account, check what will be deleted, then tap Delete my account.
  • If we ask, sign in again with Google, Microsoft or Apple to confirm it's you.

We delete your account straight away. This can't be undone.

Ask us to delete your account

If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, email sigve@hoycall.com with the subject “Delete my RingSmith account”. Write from the email address you sign in to RingSmith with, and tell us your business name and the mobile number on the account. If you write from another address, we'll ask you to confirm the account is yours before we delete anything. We delete the account within one month and email you when it's done.

Delete some data and keep your account

  • Remove numbers from your block list, or disconnect your calendar, in the app's settings.
  • Turn off usage statistics and crash reports under Settings → Privacy.
  • Ask us to delete particular calls, transcripts, recordings or caller photos by emailing sigve@hoycall.com.

What we delete

When you delete your account, we delete straight away:

  • Every call: its summary, transcript and recording, including the copy held by our voice provider, and any photos callers sent.
  • Your business details and receptionist settings, including your questions and price list.
  • Your block list, your calendar connection and your WhatsApp alerts.
  • Your mobile number, your devices' notification tokens and your sign-in.

If a provider can't delete something straight away, we keep trying until it's gone. If you use the same sign-in for another HoyCall service, we delete only your RingSmith data and keep that sign-in.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Your RingSmith number: it takes messages for a while, so your callers never reach a dead line, and then it closes. Until then we keep only what it needs to answer calls: your business name, your name, the number and your subscription status.
  • Billing records: records of your subscription and payments, for as long as UK tax and accounting law requires, usually six years.
  • Security records: technical logs of calls to your RingSmith number, kept to prevent fraud and abuse for as long as section 8 of our Privacy Policy allows.
  • Network test results: de-identified results of divert tests, with no business, name or phone number attached, kept for 24 months to help other people on the same mobile network.
  • Crash reports and usage statistics: never linked to your name, email address or phone number. Crash reports are deleted after 90 days, and usage statistics after no more than 14 months.

Your subscription

Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in Google Play or the App Store too, or you'll still be charged.
